Does Rosetta Stone have Thai?
Not on its current platform. Rosetta Stone once sold a Thai course on CD-ROM (“Thai Level 1”), but when it moved to an online subscription model, Thai did not make the cut and the course was discontinued.
You can still find the old discs secondhand, but they are outdated, unsupported, and not aligned with how Rosetta Stone teaches today.
Why the legacy Thai course isn’t enough
Even if you track down the old CD-ROM, you are buying an abandoned product: no updates, limited content and no guarantee it runs well on modern computers. For a tonal language with its own script, an unsupported legacy course is a shaky foundation.
The best free Rosetta Stone alternative for Thai
ThaiLanguageSystem.com is a current, actively maintained and free way to learn Thai in the browser. It teaches the Thai script, drills vocabulary by theme with audio and spaced repetition, and adds hundreds of short reading-and-listening articles — none of which the discontinued Rosetta Stone Thai offers today.
The verdict
Rosetta Stone no longer offers Thai in any meaningful, supported form. Rather than hunting down an outdated disc, a free, up-to-date tool like ThaiLanguageSystem.com is the better starting point.
