ThaiLanguageSystem.com is free and works without an account. Below you'll see briefly what each feature does and how you use them together to learn Thai fast.
What can you do?
Words Flashcards with word lists by theme: basic words, travel words, food, Muay Thai and more. Choose the direction (English → Thai or the other way round) and how many cards you want. Every word shows Thai script, pronunciation and translation, with audio. Sentences The same flashcards, but with short, everyday sentences. That way you learn to use words in a real sentence straight away. Sentence completion Fill in the missing word. Trains your sentence structure and word order without having to type everything. Quiz Multiple-choice questions with instant feedback. A quick way to test what you already know and where the gaps are. Articles Short conversations and news items to read and listen to. Turn Thai, pronunciation and English on or off separately, play everything and test yourself with questions. Filter by type, level and theme, or open a random article. Interval Study Your own smart practice deck. The FSRS system schedules every word exactly when you're about to forget it, so you repeat efficiently.
Remembering: favourites, pipeline and Interval Study
While you practise, you automatically build up your own study material:
- ♡ Favourites — mark words you want to save to practise separately.
- 🚚 Pipeline — words you got right three times in a row move on automatically. Ready to move into your Interval Study deck.
- 📚 Interval Study — your main deck with smart repetition (FSRS). View your cards in the list, track your progress in the statistics and manage separate practice sets via temporary decks.
The smartest way to learn
- Start with the 100 basic words. Those are the words you need most often.
- Do 10 minutes every day rather than an hour once a week. Short, regular sessions stick better.
- Press 📚 on words you really want to remember. They go into Interval Study and are repeated at the right moment.
- Open Interval Study every day and finish whatever is due. That way you make the most of the smart repetition.
- Practise in both directions: Thai → English trains recognition, English → Thai trains active knowledge.
- Then read and listen to the articles. You see the words you learned again in context and get used to the pace of real Thai.
